Below you will find the structure that HF is based upon to ensure a smooth operation of our gaming group. This structure is a basic guideline we follow to help maintain organization and an effective administration system to better serve the members of HF and continue to improve our gaming group as a whole.
Our main foundation and the basis of our success as a family are HF's very own members. Though we have acknowledged positions within HF, they are purely for organizational and administrative purposes. HF relies upon its members for the leadership, direction, input, and ideas that make our gaming group the success it is. Therefore we are a Member Run gaming group promoting equality throughout the "clan" and service to our fellow members.
Keeping this in mind, it is important to understand that any "positions" stated below DO NOT distinguish one member having higher standing than another. The majority of members placed in administrative and organizational functions are based on activeness, availability, and too much extent, volunteerism.
Our Structure is simplified and based on necessity; it does NOT contain the characteristics of "clan politics" commonly found in other guilds and clans. In the first section you will find the basis of the structure stated, with the second section detailing each aspect.
STRUCTURE:
1) Clan Directors: They are the founders and figureheads of House ForsakeN and keep everything in order.
2) Clan Coordinator: The Coordinator is the primary aid to the Clan Directors and General Manager of HousE ForsakeN, and is charged with the responsibility of ensuring things get done in an orderly, timely, and efficient manner.
3) Member Manager: The filler of this position is responsible for keeping a clan-wide member roster up to date and works with the Realm Leaders to ensure a quality recruitment process for potential members as well as being the first-line supervisor for general member services.
4) Website Administration: This role is responsible for updating the website and keeping it "bug free." Whoever fills this position also maintains the forum.
5) Realm Leaders: These are the staff and developers of the Gaming Realms within House Forsaken.
1a) Clan Directors - The Clan Directors are the founder and current governing heads of HF. UsuRpeR is the clan founder, while StormFire was a pioneer in the birth and growth of HF. It is the role and responsibility of the Directors to oversee the general direction of HF as a whole and ensure the continued quality atmosphere provided to HF's members. The Directors will also provide financial support when needed, coordinate operations and issues with HF Staff and Realm Leaders, and help resolve problems of any nature that may arise within HF's Realms that the Realm Leaders themselves cannot fix.
Though the Directors do have the authority to finalize any issue effecting the direction of HF as a whole and the individual Realms themselves, it is the Director's policy to SERVE the members and incorporate the member's input and wishes. The Directors have entrusted the majority of the power and authority in running the clan to the HF Staff and Realm Leadership. Therefore, the true direction of HF is in the member's hands, which gives them direct say and participation. In the end, what counts is that the members come first and everything is accomplished for the good of the family.
2a) Clan Coordinator - The holder of this position is required to be an extremely active, loyal, and dedicated member of HF. The primary purpose of the Coordinator is as a primary aid to the Directors and General Manager of the clan. The person entitled to Coordinator ensures that things get done in an orderly, timely, and efficient manner. Moreover, the Coordinator has been trusted with the authority to make leadership decisions and judgment as he sees fit for the best interest of the clan and members. He will manage all clan operations and projects and co-ordinate with the HF Staff. If there are any issues that need to be discussed with the Directors, naturally he will do so. Lastly, major issues that affect the whole of the clan will of course be a team effort, as it has always been, with the rest of the staff and the realm leaders.
3a) Member Manager - The person appointed to this position is simply a fair and knowledgeable person in "the ways of HF". Also, true care and concern must be apparent for the good of HF. The Member Manager's duty is to be highly dedicated, active, and motivated. The primary job function is to support the needs of HF's members. This includes: helping new members become situated into HF, answering any questions members may have, helping with member concerns or problems, and basically all such similar issues found within the membership.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Member Manager ensures that only quality members are being recruited throughout HF's gaming realms. Therefore, the Member Manager works closely with the Realm Leader of each gaming realm to see that no lamers or immature gamers are inducted into the family. In the event that one or two bad apples get through, the Member Manager will work with the Realm Leader to fix the problem. Lastly and in the event that the Member Manager/Realm Leader cannot resolve the problem, one of the Directors will get involved and the issue will be resolved.
* Currently, one member fills this position. However, additional members are authorized based on need and work load.
4a) Website Administrator - Website Administration (or Site Admin) works diligently to insure that House Forsaken has a quality website that is bug free. Site Admin performs major updates to the site and assists the Realm Leaders with their particular Gaming Realm website. The Website Admin also is responsible for the upkeep of the forum. In addition, Site Admin may have one assistant that has knowledge of how the forum and the website is laid out. This assistant will fill the Site Admin position temporarily if the Site Admin is away or inactive for an extended period of time. The assistant should work closely with the primary Site Admin to prepare for such a situation.
* Also included under the Web Admin are the numerous Realm Site Webmasters, HF Grfx Designers, and Programmers.
5) Realm Leaders - Members who are experienced gamers and have displayed maturity, initiative, motivation, and leadership are given the opportunity to become HousE ForsakeN Realm Leaders. These members have either been appointed or expressed their desire to run their own Gaming Realm. At this point, potential Realm Leaders have already proven themselves as active and capable members who have earned a close trust of the clan.
It is the role of the Realm Leader to establish (or take charge of) and maintain a successful, well-operated Gaming Realm within HF. Each Gaming Realm is an important part of HF as a whole and must continue to carry on the high standards set by HF. The Realm Leader heads the entire operation of his respective realm. Trusted with the leadership, direction, and success of the realm, the Realm Leader has a wide range of responsibility. To help tackle this great task, the Realm Leader has full authority to appoint a Realm Leadership Staff as needed. In order to achieve the most effective operation, the Realm Leader and Staff will plan and develop the Gaming Realm, set necessary guidelines, and cater to the unique needs of their particular realm.
